Hello and welcome to beginning of September. The weather has turned cooler suddenly and thoughts have moved to the Fall. I was able to finish cleaning off my garage shelves this week and it has made an amazing difference. I also had time to redo things in my media room. The old carpet is gone replaced by some flooring paint and area rugs. It is now a much better look and feel for the room, especially since my son has basically taken over the space.
This week our featured website is Key Interiors by Lisa Stanley. Key Interiors focus on four types of interior design: model home merchandising, residential interior design, light commercial and new home construction. Based in Perkasie, PA Key Interiors has a fresh style that captures the essence of the living space. Now on to this week’s special: From now until the end of September we are featuring 20% off Good Night Irene polymer clay switch plates. Good Night Irene! is a one-woman studio in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina. She’s been working with polymer clay since 1992, and started creating light switch plates almost immediately. Irene is a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild and a founding member and past president of the Blue Ridge Polymer Clay Guild. She’s also authored and produced work for three books on polymer clay, published by Lark Books, and has contributed projects to numerous other publications.

Hello again, it’s hard to believe that we are now in the middle of June. Things are progressing with my home project, the concrete was poured and is now curing. There is still much work to be done, but all of the old patio and deck are gone so at least everything now is new.
 Front Patio From Driveway - Before  Front Patio From Driveway - Day 5 I’m pretty impressed with how well they have avoided killing the plants in our garden. A few have not made it, but overall our garden will survive. Next week they move onto building back the deck, adding railing, pillars, a new front door and replacing the shutters. |
This week our featured website is called Beautiful Life and it features all things that make our physical world more beautiful. The four primary sections are Web design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design and Interior Design with gorgeous photos and nice write ups of each feature. Hi and welcome to the end of February. The past few weeks have been really big for us. We just moved into our new place at the Front Street Arts Complex and have been getting everything arranged. We have over twice as much space now and are surrounded by artists of all types: potters, sculpters, wood workers, painters, photographers, printers, etc. We’re really looking forward to being a part of this community.
This week we feature a great blog Apartment Therapy with the apt subtitle – “Saving the World, One Room at a Time”. My favorite feature is the home tours section where homeowners send in pictures and a walk through of their home and then receive comments and suggestions from other readers. A fun community and a great place to pick up ideas regardless of your style. Beware you can easly blow through a few hours on this site before you realize it.
This is our final two days of 20% off all diamond plate aluminum switch plates for the hot rod and industrial look. Starting March First we will putting all of the wonderful Rosalie Sherman Designs on sale. Also, we sadly learned that Mercury Mosaics will no longer be making ceramic switch plates. These hand made ceramic house numbers are made of exterior-grade ceramics with an expected lifespan of 100 years. Hand cut then finished in Matador Red with Marshmallow White numbers. All house numbers come with holes for hanging unless otherwise specified. There will be some variation is size and finish as these are all done by hand, but we will try to match your order as closely as possible.
