Hello everybody, welcome to 2011! It’s a new year full of new ideas, styles and projects. Personally my wife and I are getting ready to redo our dining room in a steampunk style. Right now we are just in the planning and gathering stages, but we have picked up some fabric and some great brass elements from a huge salvage shop located in town. I’ll be sure to post some before and after shots of the room when it’s all finished.

My favorite sections are their before and after photos for both interior and exterior, and their suggestions on presenting an empty house. The latter features virtual property styling which lets you populate photos of an empty house with stylish decor to prompt a buyers imagination. Hello and welcome to beginning of September. The weather has turned cooler suddenly and thoughts have moved to the Fall. I was able to finish cleaning off my garage shelves this week and it has made an amazing difference. I also had time to redo things in my media room. The old carpet is gone replaced by some flooring paint and area rugs. It is now a much better look and feel for the room, especially since my son has basically taken over the space.

Good Night Irene! is a one-woman studio in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina. She’s been working with polymer clay since 1992, and started creating light switch plates almost immediately. Irene is a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild and a founding member and past president of the Blue Ridge Polymer Clay Guild. She’s also authored and produced work for three books on polymer clay, published by Lark Books, and has contributed projects to numerous other publications.
This week we finished adding the interior hardware styles of Vicki Lane. From it’s humble beginning in a garage in 1983, Vicki has expanded into being a nationwide designer, manufacturer and distributor for switch plates, drawer pulls, cabinet knobs, ceiling fan pulls and lighted doorbells currently marketed today by Vicki Lane.
