Hello and welcome to beginning of September. The weather has turned cooler suddenly and thoughts have moved to the Fall. I was able to finish cleaning off my garage shelves this week and it has made an amazing difference. I also had time to redo things in my media room. The old carpet is gone replaced by some flooring paint and area rugs. It is now a much better look and feel for the room, especially since my son has basically taken over the space.
This week our featured website is Key Interiors by Lisa Stanley. Key Interiors focus on four types of interior design: model home merchandising, residential interior design, light commercial and new home construction. Based in Perkasie, PA Key Interiors has a fresh style that captures the essence of the living space. Hello and welcome to the the third week of August. School is about ready to start and all of the kids are trying to pack in last minute fun for the Summer. Right now is also a great time to finish off those Summer home projects.
This week our featured website is the site for Elegant Home Services.They are a remodeling / design company based in Virginia. The primary goal of Elegant Home Services is to renew your home and to make it the best it can be. From a simple replacement of gutters to a complete rebuild of an existing home they take it all on. Well, we are now into the third week of June and Summer is in full swing. Things are almost with my home project, the concrete is done, new deck built, columns, installed, new door, new shutters and the upstairs railing is almost finished. Just one more day of work and it will be fully transformed.

Overall I’m very happy with the new look, I think it’s a lot cleaner and more modern. We were almost too late to notice that one of the pillars would have been right in front of our picture window. It hadn’t mattered before since the pillars were wrought iron and more like screens. |

Grace is an antiques / interior design store in Missouri which sells architectural salvage, antiques and home decor, they also mention coffee and dessert in their logo which makes it even better. The whole store and overall theme is relaxed beauty. Housed in a former church built in 1854 “Grace” exudes style and well grace. Hello again, it’s hard to believe that we are now in the middle of June. Things are progressing with my home project, the concrete was poured and is now curing. There is still much work to be done, but all of the old patio and deck are gone so at least everything now is new.

A few have not made it, but overall our garden will survive. Next week they move onto building back the deck, adding railing, pillars, a new front door and replacing the shutters. |

Hello and welcome to our first post for May, we have quite a few things going on this month which I will touch on in a minute. I’d like to thank everybody for making our two year anniversary sale successful. This month we are featuring 35% off all Mercury Mosaics ceramic switch plates. These have been discontinued so they are in limited supply. We even have a few of the last remaining stock of round ceramic switch plates. We are also in the midst of adding a new artist, Metallum Creations, out of Tucson Arizona. They make amazing decorative hardware out of steel such as wall light sconces, key racks, single coat hooks, door bells and switch plates in 15 amazing airbrushed colors. There are also some new outdoor products coming really soon.
This week’s feature website is LikeCool – The Coolest Gadget Magazine. This site is a barrage of cool things from furniture, to videos to posters to cars and everything else that is like cool. It is pretty bare bones, with most just having a picture and a title. However you can pick up some great ideas and many will spur you on to research more about whatever cool object strikes your fancy. A few items do actually include prices and a link of where you can get them, but mainly they are a great way of viewing many items in a short span of time.

I’ve finally started to catch up on getting my yard in order and start on some of those projects I’ve been waiting all Winter to do. the big question is will I actually have enough time to do them all?

Licensed artwork featuring Vincent Van Gogh’s famous painting Starry Night. The work was created in 1889 while he was in the asylum at Saint-Remy, in fulfillment of a previously expressed wish to paint a night sky from memory. He wrote that he wanted it to be “a kind of painting giving greater consolation.”
This decoupage switch plate includes nearly the entire image from the painting on the double and triple width switchplates, and the central half on the single width. Hi and welcome to the end of February. The past few weeks have been really big for us. We just moved into our new place at the Front Street Arts Complex and have been getting everything arranged. We have over twice as much space now and are surrounded by artists of all types: potters, sculpters, wood workers, painters, photographers, printers, etc. We’re really looking forward to being a part of this community.
This week we feature a great blog Apartment Therapy with the apt subtitle – “Saving the World, One Room at a Time”. My favorite feature is the home tours section where homeowners send in pictures and a walk through of their home and then receive comments and suggestions from other readers. A fun community and a great place to pick up ideas regardless of your style. Beware you can easly blow through a few hours on this site before you realize it.

I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving, at least those of you here in the states. I’m starting to see people putting up their Holiday decorations and I’m getting ready to do that as well tomorrow. While you’re in the mood for Winter and the Holidays take a look at our Winter / Christmas Switch Plates, there are over fifty styles to choose from. Whether you like snowmen, Santa or just winter scenes you’re sure to find something that you like.
In this week’s list we have a few artists who haven’t shown up before, Muscle Car Accessories and Cowboy Decor. They both have very different feels from most of our other switch plates, but really fit perfectly into the right style of decor.
