Well, we are now into the third week of June and Summer is in full swing. Things are almost with my home project, the concrete is done, new deck built, columns, installed, new door, new shutters and the upstairs railing is almost finished. Just one more day of work and it will be fully transformed.

Overall I’m very happy with the new look, I think it’s a lot cleaner and more modern. We were almost too late to notice that one of the pillars would have been right in front of our picture window. It hadn’t mattered before since the pillars were wrought iron and more like screens. |
This week our featured website is Grace – A Place of Restoration. Grace is an antiques / interior design store in Missouri which sells architectural salvage, antiques and home decor, they also mention coffee and dessert in their logo which makes it even better. The whole store and overall theme is relaxed beauty. Housed in a former church built in 1854 “Grace” exudes style and well grace. Hello again, it’s hard to believe that we are now in the middle of June. Things are progressing with my home project, the concrete was poured and is now curing. There is still much work to be done, but all of the old patio and deck are gone so at least everything now is new.
 Front Patio From Driveway - Before  Front Patio From Driveway - Day 5 I’m pretty impressed with how well they have avoided killing the plants in our garden. A few have not made it, but overall our garden will survive. Next week they move onto building back the deck, adding railing, pillars, a new front door and replacing the shutters. |

Hello and welcome to our first post for May, we have quite a few things going on this month which I will touch on in a minute. I’d like to thank everybody for making our two year anniversary sale successful. This month we are featuring 35% off all Mercury Mosaics ceramic switch plates. These have been discontinued so they are in limited supply. We even have a few of the last remaining stock of round ceramic switch plates. We are also in the midst of adding a new artist, Metallum Creations, out of Tucson Arizona. They make amazing decorative hardware out of steel such as wall light sconces, key racks, single coat hooks, door bells and switch plates in 15 amazing airbrushed colors. There are also some new outdoor products coming really soon.
This week’s feature website is LikeCool – The Coolest Gadget Magazine. This site is a barrage of cool things from furniture, to videos to posters to cars and everything else that is like cool. It is pretty bare bones, with most just having a picture and a title. However you can pick up some great ideas and many will spur you on to research more about whatever cool object strikes your fancy. A few items do actually include prices and a link of where you can get them, but mainly they are a great way of viewing many items in a short span of time.

I’ve finally started to catch up on getting my yard in order and start on some of those projects I’ve been waiting all Winter to do. the big question is will I actually have enough time to do them all?

Hi and welcome to the end of February. The past few weeks have been really big for us. We just moved into our new place at the Front Street Arts Complex and have been getting everything arranged. We have over twice as much space now and are surrounded by artists of all types: potters, sculpters, wood workers, painters, photographers, printers, etc. We’re really looking forward to being a part of this community.
This week we feature a great blog Apartment Therapy with the apt subtitle – “Saving the World, One Room at a Time”. My favorite feature is the home tours section where homeowners send in pictures and a walk through of their home and then receive comments and suggestions from other readers. A fun community and a great place to pick up ideas regardless of your style. Beware you can easly blow through a few hours on this site before you realize it.
This is our final two days of 20% off all diamond plate aluminum switch plates for the hot rod and industrial look. Starting March First we will putting all of the wonderful Rosalie Sherman Designs on sale. Also, we sadly learned that Mercury Mosaics will no longer be making ceramic switch plates. We are now into December and it definitely feels like Winter, I haven’t seen any snow yet, but it is on the horizon. I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving, at least those of you here in the states. I’m starting to see people putting up their Holiday decorations and I’m getting ready to do that as well tomorrow.
