Hello and welcome to end of August. School is back in season and the temperature has started to cool off. It has really been great weather to finish up all of those outdoor projects that I was putting off due to the heat of Summer. On the list later today is cleaning up the shelves in the garage.
This week our featured website is the site for McHale Landscape Design Inc. They are a landscape / hardscape design company based in Maryland. They focus on four primary areas landscaping, masonry, carpentry and maintenance, the last being important to make sure their plans are continually implemented properly. My favorite part of their website is their photo gallery which highlights about 100 projects which they have completed. Overall the site could use some design and layout work, but I find their photo gallery to be very useful when thinking of design ideas. (Know of a website we should feature on this blog? Now on to this week’s special: From now until the end of August we are featuring 10% off All Fired Up ceramic switch plates and house numbers. Hello again, it’s hard to believe that we are now in the middle of June. Things are progressing with my home project, the concrete was poured and is now curing. There is still much work to be done, but all of the old patio and deck are gone so at least everything now is new.

A few have not made it, but overall our garden will survive. Next week they move onto building back the deck, adding railing, pillars, a new front door and replacing the shutters. |
This week our featured website is called Beautiful Life and it features all things that make our physical world more beautiful. The four primary sections are Web design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design and Interior Design with gorgeous photos and nice write ups of each feature. Hello and welcome to our latest post for April, many of the flowers are blooming as well as allergies. I’ve finally started to catch up on getting my yard in order and start on some of those projects I’ve been waiting all Winter to do. the big question is will I actually have enough time to do them all?

Hi and welcome to the end of February. The past few weeks have been really big for us. We just moved into our new place at the Front Street Arts Complex and have been getting everything arranged. We have over twice as much space now and are surrounded by artists of all types: potters, sculpters, wood workers, painters, photographers, printers, etc. We’re really looking forward to being a part of this community.
This week we feature a great blog Apartment Therapy with the apt subtitle – “Saving the World, One Room at a Time”. My favorite feature is the home tours section where homeowners send in pictures and a walk through of their home and then receive comments and suggestions from other readers. A fun community and a great place to pick up ideas regardless of your style. Beware you can easly blow through a few hours on this site before you realize it.

This week I found a new blog about design, decor and architecture called: Home Design. They have some really excellent photos of all types of homes, furniture, room and general style. The weather has started to turn colder and the leaves have main fallen, at least here in the Mid-West. As we start to head into the Holiday season, now is the time to think about your front entry and updating it for when your guests arrive. We were able to acquire more discontinued nickel plated solid brass doorbells from SPI Home and have them at 35% off. We have also added quite a few more designs to our house numbers, door bells and door knocker lines. We will also be adding more holiday themed switch plates in the next week or two. Keep an eye out for other new styles coming to you soon.
