The exposed growth rings and spalting pattern on these switchplates offer a unique, earthy look. This not only intrigues the eye, but accentuates the warmth of a natural home.

The alder wood used for these switchplates is enhanced using a process called “spalting” to bring out the beauty of the hardwood — allowing the wood to reveal both its spalting pattern and a cross-section of the tree’s growth rings.

The resulting products exhibit a rich mixture of red and brown earth tones, blended with streaks of a lighter honey color — giving each unique piece a warm and weathered character.
