Hello and welcome to the third week of September. Thoughts of Fall are moving in as are the first thoughts of Halloween. This week our featured website is Property Presenters from Queensland Australia. The site has a wealth of information regarding selling your home regardless of where you live with common sense articles on presentation, common mistakes to avoid and other tips. My favorite sections are their before and after photos for both interior and exterior, and their suggestions on presenting an empty house. The latter features virtual property styling which lets you populate photos of an empty house with stylish decor to prompt a buyers imagination. Hello and welcome to the the second week of August and is it ever hot. I really feel like I should be doing more outdoor projects, but I really don’t feel like being outside too long. Oh well, there are plenty of projects to do indoors. Actually, I really need to work on my office where I write this blog. I think it’s the only room in the house that we never took the time to decorate and I spend more time in here than any other room. It’s functional, but doesn’t really feel good. Time for a complete redo in the next few weeks.
This week our featured website is the site for Barbara Hawthorne Interiors. Barbara is an interior designer who specializes in residential and commercial spaces in the Mid-Atlantic region. The website shows off an amazing portfolio with great photographs of past projects. All portfolio areas are broken up into traditional, transitional and modern design styles which each give you a sense of what is possible. They have over 25,000 skyscraper diagrams ordered by height and by city. You can look up your city and see how many skyscrapers they have listed. For the record Dayton has 38 buildings listed with diagrams of 18 of them. |

 It is the first week of February and winter has finally hit us with our first decent snowfall. I always like the look of freshly fallen snow. It gives everything such a nice, new clean look.

Licensed artwork featuring a portion of the painting The Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli, painted circa 1485. We see the Zephyr winds gently blowing the newborn goddess to shore from her birth among the waves. The painting is justly famous for its sensuality and portrayal of modest femininity.
This decoupage switch plate includes about a third of the image from the painting and is mounted on a standard switchplate. It is then sealed to prevent scratching or water damage and packaged in a transparent gift bag. Made in Southern California.

This week is Christmas for those of you who celebrate the Holiday. Hopefully you are able to spend some time with your family and friends this week. This morning we just had our first snow of the year and everything is covered with a nice clean layer of white. I always love the look of a fresh layer of snow. There’s not enough to go sledding, but maybe later this week.
